Always a great time at LaCosta! From the Polar Bear Plunge to the long summer nights listening to all the great bands they host, this is one of the best places at the Jersey Shore.
Had an issue here over this past weekend that I thought I would write a review about. Was with a group of 6 people at around 5pm on a Sunday. 4 of us got our ID's checked, paid cover charge and waited at doorway for the remaining 2 people in our group to get in. Of the last 2, the "ID Checker" decided that our friend's ID was not legit. She is 23 years old, and had multiple forms of ID. She also brought up her FB account to show the idiot "ID checker". One of the guys in our group was also a police officer who showed his badge and vouched for her. This "ID Checker" was on a power trip and talked down to everyone in the group. He was very rude and condescending. Since he wouldn't let the one girl in our group through the door, we all decided to leave so she wouldn't have to go home. They refused to give us our cover charge back even though we were right at the door waiting for everyone to come through. This place is a rip-off and does bad business. We went down the street to Springfield who gave us no issues, and we had a great time there instead.
