Never ordered seafood there I didn't like, wholeheartedly recommend to anyone.
Awesome seafood, really can't be beat. Their ceiling fans are a bit old and rattle a lot, which generally made me nervous, but the food is more than good enough of a distraction, and I've never heard of an incident there.
We had to wait a while to get in, but when we did - and were seated by the water-it was all worth while. Oh....and the food was delicious also. My wife and I shared the Fisherman's Broiled Seafood Combination, everything came out very tasty. Ask for Jen, she was terrific.
They have an open air dining area, and one side is right next to a channel where boats dock, generally very interesting.
This restaurant used to be amazing. I would say within the last five years, the food the service and the atmosphere are all just subpar. In fact, the last time I was there just three months ago I ordered the lobster tails which were greenand slimy
Showed up for breakfast after calling and were told did not need reservation. At least 3 quarters of there tables were open but were told it would be 15 minute wait. Don't understand why they would not sit people. We were one of at least 5 groups waiting. Food was mediocre at best. Would not recommend. Lots of other places in Sea Isle with better food and service.
Carmen's is the best location for on the water seafood dining. It's a casual, family-friendly restaurant with picnic tables, TVs and a toy area for kids. The menu is extensive selection of seafood at good prices. Plus it's a BYOB!
